Colin Miller Shares Music Video for New Single “Porchlight” From New Album ‘Losin”: Watch

Colin Miller, the artist rooted in Asheville, North Carolina’s vibrant Appalachian brand of rock music, has shared a new song called “Porchlight.” The single will be included on Miller’s upcoming second solo album Losin’, which is due out April 25. “Porchlight” is accompanied by a new music video which can be viewed below.

The lyrics to “Porchlight” present a uniquely small-town scenario where Miller leaves the front porch lights on, with a hopeful but non-optimistic feeling that his lover will come home that night. Miller sings that he has a feeling his partner is out in the world having a romantic time with someone else, but it’s fine because, in his own words, “somewhere down in Beaumont, I got someone who’s sweet on me too.”

The song was written and recorded with a group of Asheville’s all-stars, including Miller’s friends and longtime recording mates Jake Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis and Ethan Baechtold, all of whom are members of both MJ Lenderman and Wednesday. “Porchlight” and the entirety of Losin’ were recorded at Drop of Sun Studio and produced by one of this decade’s most notable producers, Alex Farrar.

“Porchlight” is the second single from Losin’; Miller shared the single “Cadillac” in February. Losin’ is Miller’s sophomore full-length effort and follows his 2023 cult classic album Haw Creek.

Right now Miller is scheduled to perform four shows in 2025, all of which are dates he will spend supporting MJ Lenderman and The Wind on their summer tour. View a full list of Miller’s future live appearances below.
