Australia’s Folk Bitch Trio Sign to Jagjaguwar, Share Music Video for New Single “The Actor”

 

Emerging Melbourne, Australia band Folk Bitch Trio have been unveiled as the latest addition to Jagjaguwar, the record label responsible for distributing music from Bon Iver, Sharon Van Etten, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and others. To celebrate their signing to Jagjaguwar, Folk Bitch Trio have shared a new single called “The Actor.” The song comes complete with a music video. Watch it below.

Folk Bitch Trio formed five years ago and its members are three friends: Gracie Sinclair (she/her), Jeanie Pilkington (she/her) and Heide Peverelle (they/them). Right now, the group says they are working on a debut album. 

Folk Bitch Trio have previously performed as support acts for American musician Alex G, plus fellow Australian artists King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Julia Jacklin and Courtney Barnett.

Folk Bitch Trio are scheduled to play two shows in the United States this summer. The first is at Nightclub 101 in New York City, New York on July 22 and the other will take place July 24 at Permanent Records in Los Angeles, California. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 18.
