On Thursday night, Jeremy Zucker closed out his first sold-out headlining tour at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom. Zucker’s tour was in support of his newest EP summer, which was released in September via Republic Records. He may only be 22-years-old, but with 9 EPs under his belt and some major festivals and tours under his belt, Zucker made sure the crowd would not forget him. His energy didn’t waver once while performing – watching him feed off the crowd’s energy was beyond electrifying.
The show’s setlist was the perfect combination of songs from his EPs, including fan favorites like “Keep My Head Afloat,” “End,” and “IDK Love”. The songs Zucker played from summer, had fans singing louder than ever; hearing tracks like “comethru” and “thinking 2 much” live were enough to give the audience goosebumps. Halfway through his set, Zucker was joined by his good friend Chelsea Cutler, where they performed their beautiful duet “better off” from his EP glisten. While the setlist had the perfect balance of upbeat and lowkey songs, nothing compared to Zucker closing out his set with his viral hit “All The Kids Are Depressed,” which has accumulated over 30 million streams on Spotify since it’s release earlier this year.
It’s rare that one comes across an artist that’s able to give their songs entirely new meanings when their music is heard live, but that’s one thing that Zucker did with great ease.
