In the third year of their festival, SWMRS and friends hosted the largest Uncool Halloween yet. With a lineup including SWMRS, Bleached, Mt. Eddy, Beach Goons, and lots of costumes, how could you go wrong? SWMRS declared that they would dress up as characters from Harry Potter and they did not cease to amaze. The band came fully dressed with their own golden snitch, lead singer Cole Becker. The venue came dressed up too. Becker’s family handmade floating candlesticks and dementors to adorn the entire ceiling.
The performance was so much more energetic that many of the previous performances we have seen out of this band, which makes sense because that have been out of the live eye for a little bit. Maybe it was the costume energy or maybe it was the hometown Bay Area location that made it so special.
Their newest single, “Berkeley’s on Fire” was a crowd favorite and took on a completely different vibe when heard live. It is only a matter of time until this band is back on the road and you can hear it too.
Overall, Uncool Halloween III was amazing. Great bands, great fans, and great costumes made this year’s event a success. Hope to see you all out there!
