Maruja Announce Debut Album, Share New Single and Unveil Massive World Tour Schedule
Maruja have announced their debut album Pain to Power will be released later in 2025. The UK punk band, known for their rather ungodly, unhinged and rowdy free-for-all live shows, will share the record on September 25. In addition to sharing their biggest music-related news yet, Maruja will go on a massive world tour beginning in May and running all the way through December 2025. Keep reading to view all tour dates, including stops in the UK, China, Europe and North America.
Maruja recently completed another big tour, trekking across the United States this spring. These images are from a recent show at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, IL.
Topping off the big reveals Maruja is sharing today, the group has unveiled their latest single “Look Down On Us.” The track is nearly ten minutes long and comes with a music video. Watch it below.
‘“Look Down On Us’ is a reflection of the times we live in,” said Maruja singer Harry Wilkinson. “The first half of the song paints a grotesque and vivid picture of the super wealthy, and the impact they have on our culture. The second half is about the need to come together in solidarity and embrace love as a wider community, especially in times of oppression. The song ends full circle, arching back to where it began as a reminder to the listener of the struggle from which it came, and the struggle that still remains.”
