Music Midtown 2022 lineup reveal brings emo and rap powerhouses to Atlanta

Emo will be well represented in Atlanta during the last weekend of summer when rock and rap collide at the Music Midtown 2022 festival on September 17 and 18.

Music Midtown organizers revealed that pop-punk pioneers My Chemical Romance would headline the festival with peers Fall Out Boy, mid-2000s rocker Jack White and Atlanta native rapper Future.

Phoebe Bridgers will also perform, fresh off the heels of her new single “Sidelines” which was released in April. More emo acts include one of rock’s most popular groups right now, Turnstile, and legendary performers A Day To Remember. Duo 100 Gecs will also perform.

Georgia-born rap star 2 Chainz is billed for Music Midtown. Rap fans can also look forward to an appearance by Denzel Curry at the two day fest.

Other popular musicians hitting the stage in Atlanta’s Piedmont Park include Mitski, Quinn XCII, Hippo Campus, Baby Tate, Conan Gray, Awfbeat, Louis The Child and Phoenix. The full lineup can be viewed here.

Tickets for Music Midtown go on sale Friday, May 20 with 2-day GA passes starting at $145.
