This New Music Friday falls on Valentine’s Day. You know, that special day about love. That’s the reason we’re all here right? A love of music, art, waking up weekly on Fridays to rush and hear what’s out now. That’s why this New Music Friday is a little different than others. Sam Smith – “Love Is A Stillness”

Today, Sam Smith, one of the most popular recording artists for the past decade, has shared a dreamy piano track called “Love Is A Stillness.” They’ve written a gentle, soothing track that his simply their voice and powerful tones from the keys. It’s the simple things that sometimes feel the most powerful. Smith wrote “Love Is A Stillness” as a Valentine’s gift to their fans.

“This song is such a special song to me and because it’s Valentine’s Day I wanted to share this with you as a gift to say I love you,” Smith said.

Bnny – “Love Trap”

Bnny, the indie rock band that captured hearts with their 2024 album One Million Love Songs, have shared a single called “Love Trap.” 

“Love Trap” was written and recorded for One Million Love Songs but was left off the record. Bnny front person Jessica Viscius said the song is an ode to toxic relationships. Consider this track and anti-love song. That’s needed today too.
