Shapes & Colors is a rising rock band from Detroit, Michigan. The band consists of Travis Bobier – Vocals, and Guitar, Bob Allers on the Bass and Vocals, Mike Morris – Guitar, Kyle Labuta – Guitar and Scott Solomon on the Drums. The band was founded on June 24th, 2011.
Shapes & Colors features a sound that combines pop with rock with an alternative sound that creates a unique catalog of songs. The band just released an EP titled “On Display” and proudly played a sold out hometown show at The Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac, Michigan.
The members of the band, Travis, Bob, Mike, Kyle and Scott are all very hard working, talented guys, who are also very down to Earth. The band is incredibly dedicated and is working hard to make great music.
Although not yet signed to a label, Shapes & Colors releases new music as often as they can for their growing fanbase. They also recently announced that this fall they will be heading out on “The Progression Tour.”
Their music is unique and unlike any other. It’s sort of like a pop band met a rock band and became one. Their vocalists are wickedly talented and hit various ranges in the band’s songs.
Shapes & Colors is featured as our New Music Monday because although they might not be well known, they are able to create great sounding music that people of all ages can enjoy.
This band may still be up and coming, but listen to just one of their songs and they’ll become one of your favorite bands!
