It may have been a Tuesday, but it was Saturday Night for Panic! At the Disco fans in San Francisco.
Known for their theatrics and large production, the Viva Las Vengeance tour was no different. As a clock on the stadium screens hit zero, the crowd roared as the band began taking the stage. The opening notes of “Say Amen (Saturday Night)” began playing, and the screens showed frontman Brendon Urie making his way underneath the stage singing the opening lines.
As fog was filling the stage and stadium, Brendon Urie launched up onto the stage as mines went off behind him. With the showmanship and voice Brendon Urie has, an astounding stage and production behind him, a talented band and of course the iconic discography of tracks behind him, Panic! At the Disco is an absolute spectacle to see live.
The show was split into acts, and nearly every song had some sort of pyrotechnic or laser backing it. After playing through a mixture of his already released and fan favorite tracks, Panic! At the Disco played through the entire Viva Las Vengeance album from front to back. Seeing the album Viva Las Vengeance live is a whole other experience. The soaring rock record that pays homage to rocks dramatic and staple sounds, seeing it brought to life creates an incredible show and atmosphere.
When the album completed the final act began the group once again performed some of their earlier hits, kicking things off with “Girls/Girls/Boys.” The show came to a roaring close as some of Panic’s biggest tracks like “I Write Sins Not Tragedies” and “High Hopes” were finally performed. Topping things off with lasers, flames and confetti, the entire night was an experience that can only be had with Panic! At the Disco.
