On November 11th, 2023, Pierce the Veil arrived at Aragon Ballroom on the 17th stop of US fall run of their Jaws of Life Tour. With support from L.S. Dunes, Dayseeker, and Destroy Boys, Pierce the Veil’s performance was an electrifying rollercoaster of emotions that left the audience in awe. From the moment they stepped on stage to a cover of “El Rey,” the energy was infectious, pulsating through every chord and lyric. Vic Fuentes’s vocals were nothing short of spectacular, effortlessly transitioning between haunting melodies and intense screams, showcasing the band’s versatility and musical prowess.
The setlist was a perfect balance of their discography, blending fan favorites with newer tracks that kept the excitement level high. Containing a multitude of newer songs off 2023 release The Jaws of Life, as well as many fan favorites like “Caraphernelia,” “A Match into Water,” “King for a Day,” and more. The connection between the band and their fans was undeniable, as the nearly sold-out crowd sang along passionately. During “Bulletproof Love,” Vic brought a fan on stage for the performance, giving her a guitar.
Overall, Pierce the Veil delivered an unforgettable performance that resonated long after the last chord faded away. Their ability to evoke such intense emotions through their music is a testament to their talent and dedication, making this show an absolute must-see for any fan of passionate, high-energy live performances. Pierce the Veil’s ability to pull large crowds continuously since forming in 2006 is a testament to their talent, and their beloved place in the scene to both newer and long-time fans alike.
