PHOTOS: Red Hot Chili Peppers – Minneapolis, MN – 4/8/23

Dani California did make it up to Minnesota when the Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked the faces off a packed U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis Saturday night.

The highlight of the bands’ current tour is the re-addition of John Frusciante on guitar. He’s back playing with the group after more than 10 years away.

That ‘highlight’ was immediate. Frusciante and Flea entered the stage together. Flea walked on his hands to his designated spot while Frusciante picked up his guitar and used his hands to shred.

Boy can he shred.

Nearly 70,000 rock fans cheered for a proper opening that lasted five minutes with tasty licks and riffs until singer Anthony Kiedis and drummer Chad Smith joined them.

A 90 minute career spanning set ensued.

These are the best images of that performance.
