New York City-based Gracie Nash has been in love with the ’60s and ’70’s ever since she was little. Raised on Classic Rock, the singer now write poetic lyrics and catchy melodies, creating musical stories into each one of her songs.
Today, Beyond The Stage is thrilled to premiere “The Belly Song,” the latest from Gracie Nash. Check out what Gracie had to say about the track below.
“I wrote The Belly Song when I realized I was tired of being ashamed of my beautiful, natural belly! Growing up I struggled with my weight and my body image, and it was really hard for me to truly love and accept my body. I wanted to write a song that helped me & everyone celebrate their bellies and their bodies. I also wanted the song to be kid-friendly, so that when young people listened to it they could feel proud of their bodies! I was highly inspired by the body positive community. When it came to the music video I wanted to highlight our time in the studio. There were so many musicians and singers that came to add to the track–and everyone had such a fun time making music & celebrating their bellies!”
