SHAED gets the remix treatment for their song “Part Time Psycho.” The new mix, which dropped Friday, features a young, up-and-coming producer, Lamorn, who takes the song to new heights.
Lamorn takes this song and transforms it into a much upbeat, electronic track that anyone can dance to. Perfect for the summer get togethers. He decorates the track with sonic synths, 808s and various electronic elements.
The new sonic rework definitely gives it a lively and bouncy sound, but it also perfectly complements Chelsea Lee’s (lead singer of SHAED) vocals flawlessly. In a press release, Lamorn speaks on working on the track.
“As a fan of SHAED, I was super excited to work on a remix for them. I had a lot of fun taking this already great song in another direction, especially with how well the vocals were written and recorded.”
SHAED released the original version for “Part Time Psycho” featuring Two Feet back on March 12. It is one of five singles released, keeping fans satisfied as they await their highly-anticipated debut album, High Dive, dropping May 14, which you can pre-save right now.
But who is this new producer that goes by the name Lamorn? The latest signee to deadmau5’s label, mau5trap, has caught the eyes of many artists in the dance music genre. The way he sees music and his production work is unique and impressive.
He brings a level of originality and creative storytelling with his music that hasn’t been seen before. Some of his works include a remix for deadmau5 and Kiesza’s single “Bridged By A Lightwave” and Judah & The Lion’s “Spirit.”
A very impressive portfolio so far given that he started his music journey in 2019. Oh and he’s only 18 years old. Yup, that’s right. At just a young age, he’s shown a mature level of mastery and skill.
His “Part Time Psycho” remix is his latest showing of what he can do. The best part is that he’s just getting started and we can’t wait to see what else he has in repertoire.
