Following the emotional pop track “Wish You Were Here,” the next single from Two Friends is a summer playlist-ready collaboration.
“Timbebomb” features MOD SUN and has a great electronic drop after the chorus (in true Two Friends fashion). Two Friends currently has over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and that number continues to grow. They are still on tour right now and have a handful of festivals that they’ll be playing at this summer. The song has a familiar pop-punk sound but with Two Friends mixing in the background, the song is elevated. MOD SUN’s lyrics tell us about a romance that is both explosive while exciting. It’s definitely a song to blast on your way to your next summer beach day.
If you’re unfamiliar with Two Friends, they’re known for their goofy sense of humor, infectious pop-dance sound and accompanying Big Bootie Mixes. These long remixes amass millions of streams on both YouTube and SoundCloud. With a slew of original songs on the way, Two Friends are set to release an album via Helix Records later this year. They recently dropped their Big Booty Mix 21 on May 14th of this year.
Two Friends is an American DJ/producer duo made up of Eli Sones and Matthew Halper. The duo formed in high school after the two met in seventh grade. Since graduating college in 2015, the two have dove into the music scene. They began touring after graduating and put out several mixes and original songs.
Some of their biggest successes come from their Big Bootie Mixes. They have had recent buzz about Big Bootie Mix 21 on TikTok and other social media platforms. They are praised for their upbeat and original mixes of popular hits, one of their first mixes that took off was their remix of Lana Del Rey’s “Born to Die” back in 2014. Since then they’ve created remixes for various songs such as Blink 182’s “I Miss You” and The Killers’ “Mr. Brightside.”
MOD SUN is an American singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Minnesota. He has released four solo studio albums, three EPs, six mixtapes and 31 singles. We were so excited to see this collaboration come to life! It feels like the perfect mix of classic pop punk with an updated electronic feel.
