Wombo Share Music Video for New Single “Neon Bog” from Upcoming Album: Watch
Wombo have shared another haunting rock song from their forthcoming album Danger in Fives. The new single “Neon Bog” is out today with a music video directed by the group’s guitarist Cameron Lowe. Keep reading to watch it.
“‘Neon Bog’ is a song about a simple time I had with a friend and reflecting back on that and how relationships change over time,” said Wombo singer and bassist Sydney Chadwick. “And how things get murky kind of like how the song feels which inspired the lyrics for me.”
Lowe has directed a number of Wombo’s music videos, including the Danger in Fives title track, which was shared in May.
“I was inspired by the work of director Michel Gondry [Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind],” Lowe said. “Especially his commitment to using practical effects. Instead of building miniatures only, we scaled up and built a full sized ‘miniature’ and to avoid using green screens we projected a miniature scene outside the set window on a sheet. I’ve been watching a lot of the TV show Ghost Adventures and have been somewhat haunted by the implications of the paranormal. I thought the video was a good outlet for expressing that in an abstract way.”
Danger in Fives will be the band’s third full-length record and their first major release in over two years. Pre-order and pre-save a copy of the album here.
Wombo will go on a world tour in fall 2025. Scroll down for a list of cities, venues and dates. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
