Upcoming Music Festivals in 2024

Coachella weekend one was seen as the unofficial start to music festival season. Weekend one brought a number of most-talked-about moments from Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, Doja Cat, blur, Peso Pluma, No Doubt and more. The two-weekend-long music and arts festival at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California often sets the tone for headliners and star artists who will play at top summer events for the year. Here’s a preview of what else is to come at festivals in 2024.

Coachella Weekend Two

Coachella is exciting because it provides a platform of not only one, but two weekends for big name artists. This has kept Coachella accessible to festival-goers since it switched to a multi-week event in 2012. Weekend two will feature the same headliners like Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator and Doja Cat. It takes place Friday through Sunday, April 19, 20 and 21. Weekend two tickets are still available. They can be purchased here.

Lollapalooza

Lollapalooza has been regarded as one of America’s best music festivals since its inception in 1991. Fans will gather in Chicago’s Grant Park for the annual event on August 1-4. Hozier, SZA, The Killers, Skrillex, Blink-182 and Melanie Martinez are all headliners. Other artists performing include Been Stellar, Reneé Rapp, Faye Webster, The Last Dinner Party and Pierce The Veil. Tickets are on sale here.

Electric Forest

Electric Forest returns to Rothbury, Michigan for the long weekend of June 20-23. Everything Always, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Subtronics, Ludacris and Excision will headline. There will also be two performances from The String Cheese Incident. Find passes for Electric Forest 2024 here.

Capitol Hill Block Party

Seattle’s Capitol Hill Block Party has a genre-filled weekend planned with its 2024 festival lineup. Grammy-winning producer Kaytranada will headline with popstar Kim Petras and indie rocker Still Woozy. Chappell Roan, Corook, Annie DiRusso and Slow Pulp will also take the stages in the Pike/Pine corridor. Capitol Hill Block Party 2024 happens the weekend of July 19-21. Buy tickets here.

Governor’s Ball

Governor’s Ball is often regarded as New York City’s premier music festival. Post Malone, Peso Pluma, 21 Savage and SZA headline this year. Carly Rae Jepsen, Blondshell, Kevin Abstract and Chappell Roan will also take the stages in New York’s Flushing Meadows Corona Park from June 7-9. Tickets for Governor’s Ball are available here.
